Miguel from Mexico and Jorge from Argentina are running latino club, some kind of latin enclave in town. It's a meeting point for people from South America. They can drink here famous mexi-cactus drink, talk, and dance, of course. The main rule here is fun.
Koko came from Peru. He is musician playing ethnic music, wearing national costume. He likes Polish food and the way Poles live. As he says, people here are more open and nice than those from Switzerland or Germany. Living here for more than ten years he feel as Pole.
And Felix, who lives here with his Peruvian wife and son for sixteen years. A character you can't miss. Playing in town, teaching Spanish and working with miniature construction models. He was interested in Poland back home in Peru and eventually after visting Sweden and other European countries he choose Poland for his place for living.
The movie ilustrated by Latin music lasts 30 minutes. It was shot in May and June 2007. The premiere took place on 12/8/2007 in Kinoteka, Warsaw during 5th European Youth Film Festival (click here for details), where it was nominated for OFFskar 2008 for the best documentary. The documentary was broadcasted on TV 2nd September 2008 (TV Polonia).

(...) „Kraków po latynosku” Bena Talara też nie jest wolny od błędów, przede wszystkim techniczno-realizacyjnych, ale ciekawi bohaterowie z Ameryki Południowej mieszkający na stałe w grodzie Kraka, ratują całość. Kochają Polską, zajadają się polskimi potrawami (jednemu z nich smakuje krupnik, bo przypomina o Peru), inny przyznaje, że próbował czytać Kochanowskiego i popadł w kompleksy, gdy nie potrafił zrozumieć, zastosowanej w twórczości Jana z Czarnolasu, polszczyzny.
42 filmy. 27 fabuł i animacji. 15 dokumentów. Ok. 14 godzin projekcji. 4 bloki filmowe. Liczby przytłaczające, ale ile spośród filmów startujących w Konkursie Filmów Polskich festiwalu KAN 2008 zapisze się w pamięci widzów? Garstka. Wraz z końcem ich festiwalowego żywota, na większość spadnie zasłona niepamięci. Jednak w Kinie Warszawa mogliśmy zobaczyć kilka – często nieoszlifowanych jeszcze – diamentów, jak: „52 procent”; „Klinika”; „Kraków po latynosku”; „15 lat milczenia”; „Poddasze”.
